Tea and Coffee are served in the Cafe from 10.30am – please come and join us.
This is a more informal service where we meet to worship God in song, seek God’s blessing in prayer, and listen to God’s Word preached from the Bible.
Each week we seek to gain a deeper undertanding of the Good News message of Jesus Christ in the Bible and how this impacts our lives and the world today in a way that is relevant for both Christians and those exploring the Christian faith.
During the first part of the service we sometimes have a kids talk, video, or feature on mission.
At 11.20am the children and young people go to their own programme:
- Sunday School (age 3 - P7)
- Youth Bible Group (S1-6).
All these groups are led by people who have been vetted by the church’s child protection policy and are part of the PVG scheme.
On the first Sunday in the month we share Communion during the service. For hygiene reasons, individual cups and bread are used.
11.20 - 12.00 noon
Sunday School
This is for children from Pre-school nursery to P7 – there are teachers covering each age group and learning stage. The leaders take the children through a programme of relevant Bible stories and teaching with the approach varying from week to week in order to keep the attention of the children - videos, worksheets, songs, drama, crafts, quizzes, games etc.
Youth Bible Group
The Youth Group is for S1-6 youth and follows a Bible teaching programme designed to help young people learn about having faith in and following Jesus Christ in today's world. During each session study books, videos, questionnaires, quizzes, and games are used to illustrate the topic.
If parents wish, their children are welcome to stay with them throughout the service.
Please stay around and chat over a tea or coffee in the Cafe after the service – there’s no rush. The Prayer Team are available to listen and pray for you if you wish.
All leaders and helpers aged 16 and over who are working with children or young people have been approved by the church under the PVG membership scheme run by Disclosure Scotland.
